My Mission

InPhotography features the digital photography, writing and video content of Silicon Valley photographer Jon Swenson. Jon Swenson created the first sports blog on October 1st, 1998, and was the first blogger credentialed to cover several major professional sports. InPhotography specializes in sports photography, tech and social media content, and covering breaking news with a unique and engaging editorial perspective.

Jon has provided extensive coverage of the NHL, AHL, ECHL, NHL and ECHL allstar games, the NHL draft, international hockey, and local youth and development hockey. His reporting has appeared in a number of print and online publications for over 15 years. For over 20 years Jon Swenson has provided coverage of local and national mixed martial arts, Showtime and HBO boxing, collegiate boxing, mauythai kickboxing, as well as the Sumo Grand Championships at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Other events have included the Tour de France and Tour of California Cycling races, the Mavericks Big Wave Surfing Championships at Half Moon Bay, Formula 1, Champ Car, Indy Car, and Nascar racing, the America's Cup Sailing Championship in San Francisco, the SAP open and Bank of the West Classic tennis tournaments, horse racing at Bay Meadows and Golden Gate Fields, and multiple youth and amateur sporting events locally and statewide.
